FROSTA design produces crochet kits and hand crocheted products made from soft tricot materials. We started producing kits because we wanted to make it easier for everyone to share in the fun of crocheting! Since we launched our tricot products in January 2008, interest has been steadily growing. FROSTA design won the Formex Formidable-prize at the largest trade fair for interior design in the Nordic countries, Formex. Today we sell our products via a number of distributors over the world – Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, England, Germany, Italy, USA, Australia, Japan… We work primarily with local suppliers and our tricot off-cuts are bi-products of the tricot industry in Europe.
A crochet kit contains everything that you need to make one of our products – tricot off-cuts, a crochet needle and a pattern. The collection contains smaller and larger products such as baskets in different sizes and shapes, slippers, pot-holders and mats. They come in grey and off-white and you can easily dye the off-white tricot to your desired colour.
With FROSTA design’s crochet kit everyone can discover the joy of crocheting! Your work-in-progress slips easily into your handbag, providing you with a fun and relaxing activity whenever you need a break. Our designs are simple and quick to make – it will not take long before you can enjoy your finished product! FROSTA design has also launched a series of finished products such as stools, larger carpets and baskets. Even these items are made in our soft tricot off-cuts. As we only use industry bi-products, we work with the materials and colours that are left over – which makes every FROSTA design product completely unique.
